Welcome to Monash Breast Services

Southern Health has an established Breast Service inside two clinical programs: Women’s Health and Cancer & Palliative Care Programs. Services are mainly located at Monash Medical Centre’s Moorabbin campus, are predominantly part of the public health system and provide advice, assessment and treatment for women with all types of breast problems.

Breast Services consist of units, wards and services with many specialist health care professionals - medical, nursing and allied health, working in teams to provide the best possible treatment and care.

Our service is patient focused and benefits greatly from the support and advice of an active consumer reference group.

As one of the State’s leading units in clinical care and research Monash Breast Services offer the highest standards of care in a setting that also addresses women’s needs for emotional and social support.

Our services include:

  • mammographic screening
  • other diagnostic tests
  • care of women at high risk of breast cancer
  • cancer genetic services
  • surgical inpatient services
  • multidisciplinary cancer care
