Victorian Aids & Equipment Program - Southern Health


The Victorian Aids and Equipment Program is a Victorian Government program which aims to assist children and adults to access subsidised aids, equipment and home modifications to enhance their safety and independence, support their family and carers and prevent premature admission to institutional care or high cost services.

Aims & Objectives
VA&EP aims to provide aids and equipment to people with permanent disability living in the Southern and South Eastern Region of the Department of Human Services Victoria. Assessment and recommendations are made by the appropriate health professional.
The program also aims to process the requests for aids & equipment within a reasonable time subjected to availability of funds. People in urgent need are given a priority.
