SOUTHERN HEALTH

Southern Health is the largest metropolitan health service
in Victoria and provides comprehensive primary, secondary
and tertiary health care services to people living in the
South-Eastern suburbs of metropolitan Melbourne.

Southern Health provides services to an area in excess
of 2,800 square kilometres with a population of over 750,000.
The primary catchment area includes the cities of Cardinia,
Casey, Greater Dandenong, Kingston and Monash. Southern
Health also provides specialist services to a rural catchment
including Gippsland.

Southern Health services are provided from a number
of hospitals and community health services:

	Monash Medical Centre (Clayton)
	Monash Medical Centre (Moorabbin)
	Dandenong Hospital
	Casey Hospital
	Kingston Centre
	Cardinia Casey Community Health Service (Berwick, Cranbourne, Doveton, Cockatoo and Pakenham)
	Greater Dandenong Community Health Service (Dandenong and Springvale)
	Primary Care Services
	Mental Health Services.

Southern Health employs almost 10,000 staff. Last year
we treated more than 125,000 patients in our hospitals,
5,000 more than the previous year, and provided in excess
of 730,000 care episodes.
