The Southern Health Infection Control and Epidemiology unit provides a service to over 1950 inpatient beds, including acute, rehabilitation, mental health, aged residential and nursing home. There are close links with Southern Health Sterilising Services with the Infection Control Coordinator – nursing, responsible for the strategic management of Sterilising Services.  A staff vaccination service operates from MMC – Clayton and Moorabbin, Kingston, Dandenong and Casey infection control offices.
